Trip to the Dentist

The time had come to take all five kids to the dentist for a check-up -- not our favorite family activity. There are those in our family (Emilee) who absolutely hate going to the dentist and would rather scrub bathroom floors with a toothbrush. Then, there are those who love it because of the feeling of super shiny clean teeth (Aimee & Aubree). There are those who go for the excitement of the "coin" they earn and the prize they can get (Lance). But the winner this trip was Lynzee for her absolute courage as her two front teeth were pulled. We recorded her singing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" so we could post it, but had some technical difficulty so we'll settle for a still pose.

A Road Trip with Daddy

Dwayne wanted to go on a quick road trip. When he asked for volunteers to go along, he got an enthusiastic response only from Lynzee and Lance. They had a great time exploring in the area around mirror lake. One of the highlights of the trip that we heard about was when they got to "pet a dead fish". YUCK!

Meet the Mathesons

I am new to this blogging thing and don't really know what to say. I guess the best place to start is my amazing family! I have 5 wonderful kids who keep me plenty busy, and the best husband in the world! Here is a recent picture of the whole family together. My kids from left to right are Aimee - age 15, Aubree - age 13, Emilee - age 10, Lynzee - age 7, and our only son Lance - age 4. My husband Dwayne and I are in the back.
